Yes, I know this is an odd ortment of fish. It was an experiment to see if this random group could “hang” together. So far so good. This tank is unusual not only for the variety of species but the size variences which range from 1/2 inch to 9+ inches.

Wildlife experts …
Wildlife experts huh. Maybe you’re looking in the wrong places. Try Las Vegas. You know, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

My dads rarer, I’ve never even seen him.. I tried to get David Attenborough on the case, but he said if the British goverment couldn’t find him to pay for me then his team of wildlife experts wouldn’t stand a chance.

The black-bar myleus, silver distichodus and others are more “rare”. I do not even consider the flagtail to be rare.
lol the only fish i …
lol the only fish i think is kinda rare is your flagtail prochilodus
Yes, Myleus can be …
Yes, Myleus can be found but usually as in the Red Hook variety. Mine are not Red Hooks. The same can be said about distichodus species but you rarely see the silver ones.
By rare, I meant rarely seen. Any more rare than that would put them on the endangered list and you know what that means.
You’re right about the goldfish. I took them out.
I was mocking the …
I was mocking the people who said they arent rare (I said j/k)..Some arent rare but true I havent seen many myleus in common aquariums. I have seen alot, being that i work with pets, but they arent that rare–less common, not rare, to each his own..calm down
Barbs and angelfish …
Barbs and angelfish, no duh
O.K. smart-ass, There some 40,000 videos of tropical fish on youtube. Why don’t you search “black-bar myleus” or perhaps “silver distichodus”. Out of so many videos, there should be hundreds I bet. When you find those, I’ll have you check so others I have. Good luck.
Well I dont know …
Well I dont know what you mean when you say “rare,” but those fish are probably the most common aquaria that I know. Angels and goldfish, gouramis and barbs, never heard of them (OR SEEN THEM OMG). J/k lol
but seriously goldfish shouldnt be in a tropical aquarium… they are coldwater fish.
thanks

Thanks again.
Thanks again.
I love your …
I love your response to the people who say your fish selection is not rare. I too would like to know what their definition of rare is, illegal fish? You most certainly do have some rare fish in there. And as for “farquegfy”, some people are just too ignorant to realize how ignorant they are.
Thank you for that. …
Thank you for that. Yeah, it’s amazing how many “experts” we have on youtube.
The goldfish were getting beat up too much. Their long waving and slow moving fins are just too much of a temptation for other fish to nibble at. They’re much happier now and their fins have grown out beutifully.
Most all the fish are doing well. I even still have the tiny neons, bumblebees and a few of the ghost shrimp left.
thanks again
i really like this …
i really like this tank! i love the randomness of the fish choice, and actually i’m sad you took the goldfish out. yes theyre coldwater but domesticated fish like goldfish are very adaptable, and your’s seemed to be very healthy. anyways, amidst the crowd of haters i would actually like to commend you. good job!
Not sure why I’m …
Not sure why I’m responding to someone that not only leaves the “F” word on my blog, but can’t even spell it. (lame) See my comment to bigstevemesh below for this now boring “rare” discussion. If you want “more rare” fish, you might check the government’s endangered species list. (fish illegal to own, by the way.)
Have a nice day, tough guy. For someone who seems to be so concerned about wasting time, you sure spend a lot of it watching youtube videos. (almost 1000 in 3 weeks?)
rare. EN TIME …

Say Snotbog, orandas like warm water better, best not to mix though, pathogens do mix well with other tropical fish…but you already knew that. Looks great. Happy.

See comment below …
See comment below for my def. of “rare”. There’s a name for fish more “rare” than that. It’s called endangered and those are illegal.
yeh stil no rare …
yeh stil no rare fish i dnt even no y u put rare
Depends on your …
Depends on your definition of rare. How many youtube videos can you find of Black Bar Myleus, huh? How about silver distichodus? How about mola silver dollars? These are rare only in that they are rarely imported.
