   because of heavy tourism and pollution, this place is estimated to have lost 95 percent of its coral life by 2050. Finding that out makes me wanna kill 3 billion people….

    This is a fact. Barrier reef is in bad shape. Made worse bt rising acidity of your part of the ocean. The outer reefs can be good, but most inner reefs are mediocre at best. However, depends on your experience in diving, etc as to what makes you happy/what you like to pay for.

    A Polyp is in the same Phyla as a jellyfish. It is basically the first stage of a jellyfish. Both in Phyla Cnidaria, a Polyp is sessile, while a Medusa (otherwise called Jellyfish) is the mobile of the two.
